A slow-made soap deserves a slow-made ritual. By following a few simple steps, you can preserve the integrity and fragrance of your Sanora bar.
The Unboxing Ritual
Upon receiving your Sanora creation, we recommend unwrapping it to allow the natural botanical scents to breathe. While waiting for its turn in your shower, place the bar in a cool, dry place—perhaps a linen cupboard or a drawer—where its subtle fragrance can gently scent your surroundings.
Prolonging the Life
Cold-process soaps are rich in natural glycerin, which helps moisturize your skin but also loves water. To make your bar last as long as possible:
- Dry Between Uses: Always keep your soap on a well-drained dish. Avoid letting it sit in a pool of water.
- Stand it High: If possible, stand the bar upright to maximize the surface area exposed to air.
- The Half-Bar Tip: If you find our generous bars a bit large to handle, feel free to cut them in half. Use one half and keep the other tucked away to stay fresh.
Fragrance & Freshness
We use pure essential oils, which are nature's volatile essences. While we cure our soaps for weeks to ensure a hard, long-lasting bar, the fragrance is most vibrant in the first 3 to 6 months. We invite you to use and enjoy your soaps while their botanical soul is at its peak.
Mindful Usage
Patch Test: As with any botanical product, we recommend a small patch test before your first full use. If any irritation occurs, please discontinue use.
Sensitivities: If you are pregnant or have specific medical conditions, consult with your physician regarding the use of certain essential oils.
For External Use: Our soaps are crafted for the body and spirit. Avoid contact with eyes; should this occur, rinse gently with fresh water.
